A soul draining start to the afternoon. We had a nice stroll up to Nisantasi, and on the way got a call about progress on our flat which was very reassuring. With the language barrier it is very hard to work out what exactly is going on sometimes.
We were going to the Vitra showroom, to see their high-end toilet fittings. Such miseries come with home ownership. We had had to ring for an appointment last week due to the pandemic, but there was no record of it, so the staff conferred for a while and then eventually one of them came to show us around. He was not a natural salesperson, and the displays were slick and made it completely impossible to evaluate what was on offer. It was draining and awful so it was a relief that the cafes are open and there was a table at Grandma’s where we had a late lunch and a coffee. Then a quick stop to buy groceries next door where I continued my exploration of the world of bulgur, and back.
