Turkish fare

I have, at least for now, become quite enamoured of a Turkish style breakfast, with lots of fresh fruits and salad and a bit of cheese or yoghurt. This morning breakfast was a platter of peaches, figs, buffalo mozzerella, cucumbers, olives and tomatoes, along with my usual chai. I have decided to have something similar every day.

Around lunchtime, after the GF had finished his multi-hour morning exercise (only one of the two daily sessions), we went to the organic farmer’s market in Şişli. This turned out to be quite excellent, a vast covered space filled with stalls selling heaps of excellent produce. We came back heavily burdened, so breakfasts will be a cinch from here on. It is such a pleasure being in the Mediterranean zone when it comes to food. It’s what I am most fond of cooking, and so dependent on quality produce.
