Three days of sun

It has been bright for three successive days, and though I understand this is normal for September, it feels out of the ordinary after the week and a half of rain since we arrived in Puerto Viejo. My towel actually dries when I hang it out after a shower. Delightful.

Two upcoming bits of work have been somewhat confirmed, which is an immense relief and also, of course, an immense pain because such is the nature of my work. I look forward, with bated breath, to becoming an idler, but fear that I will never actually be able to stop working, having no savings or pension. Fortunately, I can’t imagine living long enough to need a pension.
