State of the nation

I have received some work I’d been waiting for for some time. It’s a major report on nutrition which needs editing, and is fascinating reading. I can’t say anything about it for now, of course, but will say that things are both better and worse depending on your perspective. This is a major study, with lots of data that had not been collected before and is valid to district level, where there are few surprises.

Theresa May’s fingers have finally been pried from the prime ministership. Some days ago someone on Metafilter put it rather well:

It’s like when Thatcher fell, except instead of falling, May just hangs there in mid-air. And we’re staring up at her going “What? What? Why has gravity stopped working?” And she just glares down to us, reciting her grim mantras.

But now she’s gone. Worst PM ever? No, I think Eden and Cameron still share that title. Most despised, perhaps.
