Setback

I was convinced yesterday that today I would be well again, and it started out promisingly, as I slept well through most of the night till around 4.30. Since then I’ve felt under the weather again, and even more so because I was so sure I was well. I haven’t had such a sustained bout of indisposition since the flu on Waiheke a couple of years ago.

In better news, our contractor’s son sent us a video of the goings on at the flat, which is very exciting indeed. It was a video of a large black rubber pipe snaking up the stairs and belching out concrete which is then smoothened down. It feels like quite a big step. The concrete mixer itself is outside on the street, in the place where the hospital consultants illegally park their limos, hence the latest delay – it had to wait till the weekend when the consultants are off at their Bosphorus yalis.
