Sand fly

We woke, both of us but especially the GF, covered in large solid looking bites. We worried that they were from some infestation in the bedding (it being that sort of place) but the staff assured us that they were sandfly bites. Hopefully these are less lethal and long lasting than the ones in Sumba, though they are certainly very itchy.

Another quiet day on the beach, reading and occasionally going into the water. We had a very successful snorkelling trip and found a large juvenile black tip shark swimming around with great power and purpose, and sometimes rushing forward in a rather terrifying manner.

Tomorrow morning we go back to Kuala Terengganu. The seas should be much calmer.
