I’m mulling it while the GF is in London. My father would be delighted to have me back, and of course I can work anywhere in the world where I have an internet connection. Tickets aren’t cheap at the moment, though and it’s not impossible I’ll also go to London, whether from Lahore or here.
I read a very good piece about ambulance drivers in Karachi today. It really caught Karachi’s people, how they speak and think. It reminded me a bit of a story I did once about street boys in Karachi. Such vivid, doomed children.
And an essay which gave me the chills about the likelihood of a major earthquake to hit the Mekran coast and, in all likelihood, leading to a tsunami engulfing Karachi. I’ve never been to Makran but I would like to see its belching mud volcanoes.
