I had a call with a client today which reminded me rather of my old work at a university, where I became an expert in helpfulness with a soupcon of flattery for some, to get what I needed out of them. A useful skill but a tiresome one.
It was a sunny afternoon and tomorrow is lockdown so the GF and I went grocery shopping in the afternoon. A beautiful day, nice and warm. People seemed to be taking coronavirus precautions more seriously or at least the cheese shop was, as they had a limit on the number of people allowed inside and I had to queue for about 10 minutes.
I watched a news report from India and it was nightmare inducing. I have never been more thankful for closed borders in South Asia. Pakistan is bad enough right now, but it is by no means like that. Though it doesn’t feel impossible that is the next step.
I have been talking with a travel agent about flights to Lahore. They are very expensive and I am worried about being stranded on one side or another.
