A few lost days as work has kicked up a couple of gears and I’m forever behind.
I read The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula LeGuin – technically re-read it, but didn’t remember a word of it. Very enjoyable, and starts with a very good metaphor about coming from sleep to wakefulness.
After some quality reading in the past few weeks I switched back to something more lowbrow, a YA novel set in a school for wizards. So far I am not enjoying it very much, it lays on the misery of the school rather too thick. Well, it’s by an author I’ve liked in the past, and whatever it is it will never be as awful as Lev Grossman’s wholly repellent books.
I dreamt of Kim Kardashian last night; she had done some something stupid.
