In Lahore, continued

On arrival in Lahore I had time for a cup of tea and breakfast (my usual in Lahore – roti and butter), and then went to see my grandmother to find she was on her way to hospital for an injection. I accompanied her and this turned out to be a full day in the Fatima Memorial emergency room, giving flashbacks to years past. I’ve spent far too much time in that emergency room, and though this was not as anxious a visit as in times past, the reminder was unpleasant. I didn’t get home till late afternoon for a much delayed shower and lunch. Well this is why I’m in Lahore, but it’s now been years of anxiety and trips to hospital.
