A couple of fairly busy days at work, so consequentially little to write about. Today I finally managed to complete and send what I had hoped to – an education report that I think is not too shabby, a presentation based on the report, and some academic editing. And some press materials for which the source material attributed a quote to a very senior official in which he stated that the mountains were “a Golden Sparrow”. On reflection I think the writer meant to say the goose that lays the golden egg (ie potentially lucrative) but it did take me aback at the time.
Other than that, I have been horrified by Brexit shenanigans (first the nonsense over the Irish border and now David Davis’ really shameful appearance before the Brexit committee at which he said that no impact assessments have been done for Brexit) and Trump recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. What is it with wanting to see the world burn?
