After much agonising I have come to a decision re headphones. Instead of the achingly cool Marshall Major III, I’m getting a pair of RHA wireless earbuds.
I need to buy new earphones as mine are fraying thoroughly and I decided to give in to the Bluetooth because my phone, on which I listen to podcasts and music, is so bulky and often I’m wearing clothes without pockets as I cook or whatever. How I miss my tiny iPod which I could clip onto a sleeve. Anyway, Bluetooth all seems highly unsatisfactory (and maybe I should have bought a small media player + earphones instead), but the decision is made and the order placed.
I decided against the Marshall ones because they are on-ear, so probably a bit uncomfortable especially since I wear glasses, and bulky which would impede travelling.
This afternoon we went down to try another poke place, somewhat inferior to the last and infested by a family of mainlanders of whom the middle-aged woman was clearly the Responsible One and was bustling around, taking up space and complaining loudly and angrily about a problem with her mother’s order; the spouse was an imbecile telling a long tale about there not being a sign at airport security screening that someone or the other should not go through the x-ray machine wearing a pacemaker, the blue-haired mother who quietly and insistently sat at a separate table from the rest of her family, and a non-entity of a father.
