Cambridge suburbs

I went to my accountant today, who has rooms between Milton and Cambridge. I hadn’t known that a new train station has opened only 20 minutes away, so got a return to the main station and then walked 45 minutes each way. Not that I minded, as it was a pleasant walk, especially on the way back when I knew to make a loop to avoid walking along a busy road. At any rate my accounting is sorted, and I am all fired up (or as fired up as one can be for accounts) to create spreadsheets and keep orderly books.

The sidestreets of Cambridge were very pleasant. There were a lot of bicyclists of course, and very few cars, and rows upon rows of little houses, many with painted over names like Wisteria Cottage. There was one quite expensive looking one which had the most picturesque climbing roses over the door. I was most impressed and caught myself daydreaming of living in one of those houses till it occurred to me that they had barely any windows and I don’t want to live in a suburb.
