All the world’s news clearly comes from the US, as far as the BBC is concerned. Their news coverage, at least its online version, has been getting more and more irritating in recent years. First there was the reorganisation of its regional coverage so that instead of East Asia, South Asia, etc they now have Asia, Australia, China and India, which means that coverage is largely of the latter three countries with the rest getting an occasional look-in. Then, they’ve been getting more and more clickbaity over time, and pandering to their web readers so that headlines are supremely annoying and the coverage is of online obsessions in the US and UK. Another example of the flattening of the world thanks to the internet.
