Finally finished

I sent off the report last night and overslept by an hour this morning. The day was spent cleaning and tidying, with a brief pointless trip to the post office where I couldn’t get the label printer to work and so flounced back. This turned out to be for the best, though, as instead I finished The Astrolabe, a steampunkish short story I had been working on in KL. It is a delightful feeling to finish a story, though I shall go back to it as there are definitely problems with it, including excessive didacticism.

I don’t think I’ll bother submitting it anywhere; I’ve lost what interest I ever had in being published as it feels such an achievement just to write and complete something. So expect it to go up on this website in the next few days or weeks. Then I turn back to a short comic set on Hammersmith Bridge that I’d sketched out previously, but that I’ll ink out now.
