The Japanese appear to have a variety of mango called ‘egg of the sun’ that can go for as much as 300,000 yen a pair. As a proud Pakistani I find it hard to believe that it outmatches a good southern Punjab mango, but who’s got 300k yen to test this? One article online described it as having the ‘exotic taste of a passion fruit and coconut’ but is also deliciously sweet. Sounds very nice, but…
