Annoyingly, after many years of freedom, my eczema has returned. After a couple of splotches in the usual places (arms, back of the neck) it decided to settle overnight on a new and challenging spot, around my waist, where chafing is very hard to avoid. I’ve been mostly good about ignoring the itching, but I hope it heals quickly.
Apologies to my legions of readers for what they would have preferred not to know, but that’s about the only thing on my mind that I can discuss in public.
On the brighter side, I have been very good about keeping up with my Hindi lessons. I had assumed that it would be a 1:1 equivalence with the Urdu script, but not at all. Very interesting to see the differences, for example کہ keh (‘that’) in Urdu is written कि ki in Hindi.
