Feeling a little under the weather today, though this might be the power of persuasion, as my hostess is currently languishing on a sofa with a terrible cold or perhaps incipient flu. Hoping I don’t catch it, with my return to Istanbul imminent, but what can one do?
The only positive to come out of it all is that hectic socialisation has been cut short. The negative is that I was hoping to get some time to run errands but that is now seeming impossible. The only time I’m likely to have is tomorrow after working hours and in the meantime a tidal wave of work is gathering force and I’m not really feeling up to doing much of it.
I’ve been listening to a podcast about North Korean hackers. It’s fine, nothing special, but a decent overview of world events I didn’t pay much attention to except when they impinged on my attention, as when that fellow was assassinated at KLIA shortly before boarding a flight I’d just disembarked from or something. But it has made me paranoid, and after having found a cleaner in Istanbul through circuitous means, I am now very suspicious of her. I suspect my Turkish friends would agree with my suspicion, but I will put it to the GF.
