Escape!

Work and daily life seems particularly tedious these days to the extent that I was daydreaming today about going to Macau and placing everything I own on 0 in roulette, as that would offer a clear sign of something or the other.

Yesterday we met up with a couple of friends for brunch, not the finest except for the soursop yoghurt. The friends themselves are a Chinese Malaysian woman, one of those whose natural way of being is to connect people and interests, and her small Finnish husband whose feyness doesn’t get in the way of a career in management consultancy.

The rest of yesterday, as with today, was spent wishing I could just run free and be disatisfied whilst at least never having to work.

Long weekend this weekend and we are yet to decide what to do. I hvae proposed the revolutionary idea of not going anywhere as our passports have been taken away for visa renewal so we can’t travel abroad anyway. Having proposed this, I found an eco lodge on Frasier Hill and have emailed to ask if they have a room.
