Rare delicacy

Today and yesterday I have been engrossed in what I can only call busy work, rather than the work I actually have to do and that is starting to worry me a little. Well, there it is!

It occurred to me that very soon I will have left my AirBnb as the GF will have gone off for a month’s worth of conferences and a trek, so I had best make arrangements. My current plan is to go on a weeklong hike to Langtang, followed by a homestay somewhere, followed either by a work trip (if the work pans out) or to a new AirBnb when the GF returns from Everest.

For lunch I had a rare delicacy. It was a Newari concoction that I ordered largely for its repellant appearance: like a grey, fat, hairy slug or perhaps sea slug. It turned out to be tripe encasing bone marrow. The latter is one of my favourite things and the former was inoffensive, so I thoroughly enjoyed it.
