Sunset strolls

We have taken to daily sunset strolls. All of Lebanon faces the west, the sun rises from behind the eastern mountains, Mount Lebanon and the Anti-Lebanon mountains. In Byblos, and perhaps all along the coast, people gather along the seashore to watch the sun sink into the sea and the cool evening breezes pick up. There are a few good spots. One is the rooftop of a hotel against a hill, so you can come onto the hotel straight from the road. There is a church by it and on one day a wedding was taking place with one guest who looked and dressed particularly like a nagin. Another is a popular spot, along the embankment leading to the ruin of a Crusader tower in the small harbour. A less well known one is just to its south, the other side of the curving embankment, to reach which you have to hop over a large crack, around a few bouldesr and behind a wall where a new seaside restaurant is being constructed.
